Qasr Al Watan hosted a series of activities to mark the occasion on Friday 11th March
Qasr Al Watan takes visitors on a tour of the UAE’s history, traditions, and journey. The Palace of the Nation is a unique cultural landmark that prides itself on offering a day of performances and shows that give testament to the country’s culture.
The Abu Dhabi Police Music Band’s ‘Symphony of The Nation’ show took place in the Palace’s courtyard along with a Cavalry Horse Parade, as well as traditional Emirati Ayala dance performances. During the show, classical Emirati music was played about the home and culture of the Emirati people.
As part of the spectacular sound and light show, visitors enjoyed the Palace lighting up its walls with the UAE flag before watching the Palace in Motion show, a multimedia display projecting the visual story of the UAE’s past, present, and future onto the façade of the Palace.
Visitors will have the opportunity to discover the majestic hallways of the Palace of the Nation, as they delve into a world of fascinating exhibitions, artefacts and architecture. The Palace also houses the Qasr Al Watan Library, where visitors can explore a vast collection of books and resources on the UAE’s political, social and cultural history.
One visit to Qasr Al Watan is never quite enough to explore its captivating visitor journey, an edifice of culture and rich historical legacy.
