Ma’an Launches Wide-Ranging Volunteer Programmes in Abu Dhabi

Get Involved in Ma’an’s Community Engagement Initiatives

Look no further than community volunteering programme by Ma’an grant for 2023! As part of the Ma’an Grants programme, this grant is designed to support various organizations and groups in Abu Dhabi that are dedicated to addressing social priorities and implementing community volunteering programmes.

Whether you’re a licensed non-profit organization, social enterprise, volunteer group, school, academia, or private sector organization, this grant provides an excellent opportunity to turn your community-focused initiatives into a reality.

By participating in the programme, you’ll have the chance to benefit a large population of citizens and residents. These include people of determination, seniors, at-risk youth, blue-collar workers, women, and society at large.

With a wide range of over 27 different programmes to choose from, there’s something for everyone.

Let’s take a closer look at some of the community volunteering programmes available:

1. Fit Fam: Join a dedicated program of fitness sessions designed for people of determination and their families.
2. Active Parks: Participate in regular fitness sessions held in parks and public spaces throughout the emirate, open to everyone.
3. Everyone Is An Artist: Engage in arts-related activities, including performing arts instruction, tailored for people of determination.
4. Friendly Support: Contribute to comprehensive support for former prisoners.
5. Community Clean Up: Join up to 500 volunteers in various mass clean-ups of the environment, followed by creating art pieces from collected and segregated waste, potentially for auctioning.
6. Teach and Learn: Volunteer to teach seniors digital skills, enabling them to use apps and social media.
7. Journey of Generations: Make a difference by visiting seniors in their homes and engaging in activities aligned with their interests.
8. Empo(women)t: Help women improve their ability to cope with key stress factors in their lives, whether related to family, profession, or social matters.
9. Social Scouts: Mentor school children to better engage with their local community and navigate its issues.
10. Future Leaders: Take part in a youth leadership program offered in schools.
11. Accelerate My Future: Support at-risk youth by boosting their employability through digital education, including coding.
12. Recovering Together: Provide regular support group meetings to aid in the recovery of substance abusers.

The evaluation team will review applications and invite shortlisted applicants to present their proposals. If selected, your programme could receive up to AED 100,000 per year for project logistics, operations, staffing, and marketing.
