Amenah Al Muhairi, an exceptional 15-year-old Emirati athlete and a proud member of Mubadala’s Excellence Program, is on the verge of creating history in the world of freestyle snowboarding.
She is all set to become the first Emirati representative at the esteemed World Junior Championships in Freestyle Snowboarding. This momentous event is scheduled to take place from August 28th, 2023, at the picturesque Cardrona Alpine Resort in New Zealand. Amenah’s extraordinary talents will shine through as she competes in the exhilarating Slopestyle and Big Air categories.
A Remarkable Journey Begins
Amenah’s journey began in January 2022, when she was just 13 years old, and she achieved a remarkable milestone by proudly representing the UAE at the Sarajevo Cup during the FIS International competitions. Demonstrating unparalleled skill and determination, she secured an impressive collection of two silver and three bronze medals in Slopestyle, along with an additional two silver and six bronze medals in Big Air events. This achievement marked her as the first Emirati athlete to attain such an exceptional feat in the sport.
Consistent Excellence
Amenah’s prowess was further underscored as she clinched a coveted bronze medal in her category at the inaugural international FIS Slopestyle event hosted at Ski Dubai in October of the same year.
Her performances solidified her status as an emerging star in the realm of Slopestyle Snowboarding. She continued to make her mark by competing in various winter sports events across Austria, Germany, and Bosnia in the past winter season. All in preparation for the upcoming World Junior Championships in New Zealand.
Mubadala’s Empowering Excellence
In 2021, Mubadala introduced its esteemed Excellence Program, aimed at empowering and nurturing gifted individuals in their pursuit of dreams.
This impactful initiative has already left a significant imprint by extending its support to aspiring athletes across a range of disciplines, including fencers, padel players, sailors, triathletes, and equestrians, among others.
The program’s primary objective is to inspire community members to excel in their chosen fields while embracing an active lifestyle through sports and fitness.
