LAMMAH AL BAHR, meaning “Gathering by the Sea,” is the newest family entertainment and heritage festival now open at Al Dhafra’s Al Mugheirah Beach, west of Abu Dhabi. In collaboration with the Abu Dhabi Investment Office (ADIO), this vibrant festival is part of a series of initiatives designed to enrich community life and boost Abu Dhabi’s status as a global investment destination.
Celebrate Emirati Heritage and Maritime Traditions
Running from 7th February through June, LAMMAH AL BAHR offers a unique blend of culture, sports, and leisure activities that highlight the region’s rich maritime traditions and Emirati heritage. Visitors can immerse themselves in live cultural performances, interactive workshops, and heritage demonstrations that showcase the history of pearl diving, dhow sailing, and traditional fishing practices.
Fun for the Whole Family
The festival is designed with something for everyone. Adventure-seekers can enjoy thrilling activities like an aqua park, zip-lining, and competitive sports tournaments. Beach enthusiasts can dive into exciting water sports, while sports fans have the chance to participate in padel tennis, beach volleyball, and football competitions at the Champions Zone.
Families will love the festive carnival atmosphere complete with funfair rides, engaging games, and a dedicated kids’ play area featuring board games, a climbing tower, and giant inflatables. For those in need of a break, the Beach Club provides a peaceful escape by the sea.

The Al Manara Stage is set to host a diverse lineup of live entertainment that fuses traditional and modern performances. Pop-up acts and spontaneous performances keep the energy high throughout the festival. Visitors can also explore the Heritage Zone for an authentic cultural experience, complete with live demonstrations, interactive storytelling, and hands-on workshops.
Food lovers can indulge in local, regional, and international cuisine at the Food Park, while a curated shopping area offers handcrafted souvenirs, artisanal goods, and heritage-inspired products. - Champion’s Zone: Monday through Thursday from 3:00 pm to 10:00 pm; Fridays from 5:00 pm; Saturdays and Sundays from 10:00 am
