While the Louvre Abu Dhabi is known for its vast collection of historical art pieces – from paintings to artefacts and manuscripts – the world-class museum has also become a community hub for residents.
Since its opening in 2017, the museum has organised a variety of activities for all ages to complement its exhibition programmes.
This summer season is no different. In fact, Louvre Abu Dhabi has lined-up a couple of activities for the public to experience even this month of Ramadan.
Here are the three experiences you must try this season…
One of the Louvre Abu Dhabi’s stunning attractions is the body of water surrounding the structure.
Making the most of this, the museum gives guests an opportunity to enjoy the sights from the tranquil Arabian Sea through a kayak tour.
No prior experience is necessary. Tours last 60 minutes. Guests will be accompanied by professional instructors and given a safety and paddle briefing prior to the tour.
Children between the ages of six and 12 are to be accompanied by parents or guardians. Casual attire is recommended. Changing rooms are available near the kayaking information desks. AED 120* per person. Friday and Saturday until 7th June. 9am, 11am, 2.30pm, 4pm and 5.30pm.
Make the weekend a fun family-friendly affair by signing up to these free activities from 2pm to 6pm.
Running from 24th to 25th May, Celebrating Islamic Art will roll out a variety of activities inspired by the holy month. Meanwhile, PhotoSnap, taking place from 28th to 29th June, will give participants a chance to enjoy fun activities in connection to the current exhibition, Photography: An Early Album of the World.
