It will also roll out a 24-hour gaming challenge on 7th and 8th June to mark Eid and in conjunction with the 24-hour mega sale.
This year’s festival will also showcase interactive gaming experiences in its themed gaming zones. A virtual reality zone with HTC VIVE VR stations with the latest games will be featured.
Enthusiasts can also discover the latest games in the individual console zones or experience gaming trends of the past in the arcade and retro games zones.
There will be unlimited action hosted at the stage area with cosplay competitions, and a charity Fortnite Pro-AM tournament where five teams headed by professional and amateur gamers, will battle it out for the ultimate bragging rights.
The AED 20,000 award for the tournament will be donated to the Emirates Autism Center on behalf of the winning team.
The philanthropic element of the festival, Gaming 4 Good, invites visitors to donate their old consoles and games for sale at the location on 14th June, the proceeds of which will then be given to Gaming 4 Good.
Additionally, the festival will also host an educational and game development panel, with industry experts discussing topics from how to pick the right game for your children, to how UAE companies are developing world-class video games.
For buddings gamers who would like to participate in the festival, there is a daily quest board with activities they can complete to win great prizes including ten Funko pop action figures.
