Put your game face on as renowned obstacle challenge lands in Abu Dhabi.
It’s time to get down and dirty, as Abu Dhabi will finally host its first Tough Mudder – the popular endurance event known for its rough obstacle courses.
The purpose-built sports island of Al Hudayriat Island will be the location of the event happening on Friday, 11th October.
Open to all ages and skill levels, Tough Mudder is great for individuals and groups, and there are four course routes to choose from.
Tough Mudder 5k includes 13+ obstacles on a 5km route, while Tough Mudder Classic hosts 25+ obstacles on a 10km route and brand new for this year, and Tougher Mudder, will take place on the Tough Mudder Classic route but with prizes for the fastest times logged.
Kids can also join in the fun with Mini Mudder, a 1.6km course route for seven to 13-year olds.
This year, Tough Mudder UAE will present both new and signature obstacles including Black Widow, a series of 30’ long elevated tightropes suspended over water.
Meanwhile, signature obstacles like Pyramid Scheme, Mud Mile and Everest 2.0 are all making a comeback to test participants.
Nic Cartwright, Sabco Sports said: “Tough Mudder is back for the winter season and we couldn’t be more excited to be running the event in Abu Dhabi for the first time,” said Nic Cartwright from event organizer, Sabco Sports.
“The obstacles are better than ever and the course route on Al Hudayriat Island is epic. Gather your team and get training, you really don’t want to miss this event.”
