Taste of Abu Dhabi, we just can’t get enough of it. Food, food and more food.
And speaking of it, the capital’s annual food, drink and music festival is cooking up its new edition from 7th to 9th November at du Arena on Yas Island.
So what’s in the menu this year? Many restaurants across the city will be serving bite-size dishes including Sambusek, Roberto’s, Butcher & Still, Namak by Kunal Kapur and Dai Pai Dong.
Celebrity chefs are of course in the line-up too. This year will see award-winning French chef Jean Christophe Novelli; Australian chef, author and Master Chef UK judge John Torode; cookbook author and founder of Assia Kitchen, Assia Othman; Master chef India judge, Kunal Kapur; international bestselling author on baby and children’s food and nutrition, Annabel Karmel; and master pâtissier Eric Lanlard all gracing the occasion.
These superstar chefs will be conducting classes and overseeing cooking showdowns of budding chefs with exciting prizes to boot.
Oh, take note of the various pavilions with interesting names like the International Food Sampling, Emirati Flavours complete with local chefs and delicacies, and The Beverage Theatre to try different cuisines and refreshing beverages.
The fun extends outside food and cooking. Little ones can check out the Kids’ Zone featuring free trampolines from BOUNCE Middle East.
Exciting activities for youngsters also include face painting, food-based games, competitions and workshops, a cupcake-decorating station and lots of booths.
Food for the senses, meanwhile, will be supplied by invited music acts. Head-lining the event are the iconic reggae band UB40 featuring Ali Campbell and Astrom, and Keith Duffy and Brian McFadden of Boyzlife.
UAE-based artists and bands including 4 TheMusic, Yeah Yeah Nah and DJ Sheps will also entertain the crowd during the event.
Timings Thu 4 pm – 12 am, Fri 12 pm – 2 am, Sat 12 pm – 10 pm.
