Abu Dhabi’s newest attraction is finally here! The stunning Mangrove Walk on Al Jubail Island (between Saadiyat Island and Yas Island) has opened its doors on 30th January.
The picturesque attraction features a lengthy boardwalk that allows visitors to stroll through the lush mangroves plus a chance to spot various wildlife along the way.
There are three pathways to explore the Mangrove Walk, with the longest distance at 2km and shortest at 1km.
It is also designed with a floating platform with netting to see underwater marine life, six educational sections, a visitors centre complete with a cafe and washrooms, a play area for children and a kayak activity.
The walkway is free of charge and is open daily from 8am to 6.30pm.
Meanwhile, the five-star hotel Fairmont Marina Abu Dhabi is looking to open its doors to visitors in March according to hospitality company, Accor.
You might have seen the towering arch-shaped structure on the Corniche and wondered what it is — well, that’s the Fairmont Marina Abu Dhabi.
The 39-storey luxurious hotel will feature 563 rooms, five swimming pools, a variety of restaurants, private beach access, 21 function rooms and the Willow Stream Spa with 12 treatment rooms for men and women.
These new attractions are of course expected to further boost Abu Dhabi’s growing tourism industry.
Last year was no doubt impressive, with Q3 seeing 1.3 million hotel guests and a whopping 4.7 million guests in Q4, recording the highest year-to-date figure for guest numbers according to the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi.
