A Brand New IKEA Store In Al Wadha Mall This November

IKEA will have a new downtown edition in the heart of Abu Dhabi.

The Swedish giant IKEA has become a capital favourite not simply for the beautiful pieces and instagramable arrangements, but the lip-licking dining area takes the cherry. So, the news of a second branch of IKEA in the city received a lot of excitement when it was announced in March. The launch was scheduled for July but was postponed for later this year when the mall closed.

Spread across 2,000 square metres, the store will be on the first floor of the mall. It will be much smaller than its counterpart on Yas Island but will not be short of its unique pieces and decorative items. It also saves residents living downtown the long drive looking to furnish their houses. “We are proud to welcome the world-renowned IKEA brand that would definitely be loved by the residents in the heart of the city who need ready-to-assemble furniture and home essentials,” Ashraf Ali executive director of LuLu Group, which owns Al Wahda Mall, said in March.

Al Wahda Mall already has some great home décor showrooms and IKEA will add to the eclectic shopping experience that the mall offers.
