Umm Al Emarat Park is also known as the urban park in Abu Dhabi
Umm Al Emarat Park, Abu Dhabi’s favorite green destination, hosted the fitness sessions of ‘Daman Heroes’ FIT FOR FEB campaign. This campaign took place to encourage people to continue improving their health beyond the new year.
In collaboration with Abu Dhabi Sports Council, there were 3,200 members of the community getting active in free group fitness sessions at Umm Al Emarat Park and online YouTube classes.
As an extra incentive to keep people motivated, the FIT FOR FEB campaign launched a month-long competition with big prizes including the Park’s newly release Fitness Loyalty Card, AED 1,000 Amazon vouchers, Jebal Jais Zipline tickets, AED 1,000 Go Sport vouchers and Abu Dhabi Marine watersports activities.
The campaign – led completely by UAE volunteers – was hailed a wide success with a total of 3,200 members of the community participating and 25 competition winners.
Each week sessions were held at Umm Al Emarat Park, and other locations in Abu Dhabi, while adhering to Abu Dhabi’s latest rules and restrictions to prevent transmission of COVID-19. The campaign’s online workouts received an average of 125 views per session
The park is a natural space where visitors can invest in their health through play, exercise and relaxation. The Park recently launched a Fitness Loyalty Card to further encourage a healthier lifestyle and keep the community active.
This card provides unlimited access to the Park year-round as well as huge discounts on fitness activities and F&B outlets around the city. Cards are available to purchase at the Park entrance.
