The suspension includes UAE, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Oman, and Nepal
With the sudden hike in positive cases due to coronavirus, the ban on travel from the UAE to the Philippines has been extended until 01st August 2021, Filipino authorities have confirmed.
The UAE is on a list of seven countries currently excluded from touching down in the Southeast Asian country, alongside India, Pakistan, Nepal, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Oman.
Even though travel plans from these destinations have been temporarily suspended since late April. Passengers who have transited through the UAE or any of the other countries in the 14 days prior to their arrival in the Philippines will also be denied entry.
The UAE has itself imposed similar measures on India, with flights to and from the subcontinent grounded until at least 21st July.
Your list of destinations to visit shouldn’t be put on hold. However, travel options in the rest of the world are continuing to open up, particularly for those who have received both doses of their vaccine.
