Etihad Airways plans to hire 2,000 cabin crew by end of the year

Etihad Airways, the award-winning flag carrier of the United Arab Emirates, is on a mission to expand its workforce and meet the growing demand for air travel.

The airline has announced plans to recruit over 2,000 cabin crew members this year, with more than 1,000 already hired and an additional 1,000 slated to join by the end of 2024.

The global recruitment campaign, launched on World Cabin Crew Day, aims to attract talented individuals from around the world to join Etihad’s diverse and multicultural team of cabin crew, representing 112 nationalities.

Etihad’s cabin crew is renowned for delivering exceptional hospitality, earning the airline the prestigious title of “Leading Cabin Crew 2024” at the World Travel Awards Middle East edition last month.

“This World Cabin Crew Day, we celebrate and recognize the contribution that our Cabin Crew make to our airline’s success,” said Dr. Nadia Bastaki, Chief People and Corporate Affairs Officer at Etihad. “As Etihad continues to grow, we are looking for exceptional individuals to join our team who share our ambition to become the airline that everyone wants to fly.”

The airline offers a competitive salary, fully-furnished accommodation, medical insurance, allowances, and access to discounts on dining, shopping, leisure activities, car hire, and more. Additionally, cabin crew members enjoy fantastic travel benefits and the opportunity to explore a wide range of destinations across Etihad’s global network, which currently spans over 70 cities across Australia, Asia, Africa, the Middle East, Europe, and North America.

Successful candidates will undergo extensive training at Etihad Aviation Training’s Zayed Campus, located adjacent to the airline’s headquarters in Abu Dhabi. Prior experience is not essential, as Etihad is committed to nurturing talent and providing comprehensive training to its cabin crew members.

Etihad offers excellent career progression opportunities, with 31% of cabin crew members promoted within the past 12 months, and some even transitioning to corporate roles in marketing, guest experience, network operations, aviation training, and finance.

Interested candidates are invited to attend an Open Day or apply online at careers.etihad.com. Shortlisted applicants will be invited to an assessment, either in person or virtually, as Etihad offers a unique opportunity for candidates worldwide to participate in a virtual recruitment process.
