ACTIVE, located on the North side of the island, has now opened and become the newest sports and recreation destination in the city.
Abu Dhabi’s business and lifestyle destination, has launched its sports and recreation destination, ACTIVE. Powered by Zayed Sports City, at the venue you’ll find three outdoor football fields, four tennis courts covering a total area of 3,200 Sq.mt. and four multipurpose sports courts covering a total area of 4,224 Sq.mt. For football, the facility is home to an outdoor FIFA-standard natural grass football pitch as well as two two-star artificial turf pitches. The sports destination will also be the new home of City Football Schools and LaLiga Academy.
Facilities also include eight courts including ATP-approved tennis courts, basketball, netball, handball and five-a-side football courts. In addition, three paddle courts can also be found inside the air-conditioned sports dome alongside a full-size football pitch. Catering to people of all fitness levels, on site you’ll also find advanced sports equipment as well as expert coaches and trainers on site to help athletes and sportsmen fulfil their potential.
Eight courts at Active further create a fitness zone to accommodate a vast range of sports. All courts offer an ATP approved surface for tennis matches and lessons with ZSC Academy, with four marked for multipurpose use.
