The Art Hub Exhibition will run until 25th November
MAKTABA, the library management at DCT Abu Dhabi opens its doors to the Art Hub Exhibition at Khalifa Park until 25th November. The exhibition features the works spanning visual arts, crafts and design, created by 24 UAE-based emerging artists. The exhibition is in line with MAKTABA’s efforts to contribute to the emirates cultural and artistic scenes.
The exhibition aims to develop a global platform connecting artists with public throughout the event. The participating artists receive an opportunity to showcase their work and creative abilities.
The exhibition allows talented up-and-coming artists to showcase their work and connect with wider audiences. The exhibition emphasis that knowledge and learning encompass more than written word. The exhibition is part of MAKTABA’s recognition of the importance of creativity and the arts in engaged and intellectually curious young minds.
Of the other 19 artists, five will be selected each week to display and sell their work. The exhibition will be accompanied by a public programme of events and workshops hosted by various participating artists.
Several artistic workshops and sessions tailored to children will be supervised by artist Maryam Issa on a weekly basis. Young visits will get a chance to imagine scenarios for children’s stories, redraw world famous paintings, craft toys,
and design clay models.
