Berklee Abu Dhabi and DCT Abu Dhabi Nurture the Next Generation of Music Talent.
The Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi) proudly announces the seventh edition of Berklee Abu Dhabi’s Performance Artistry & Leadership (PEARL) Programme, inviting musicians from the UAE and across the Middle East to participate in this unique opportunity. This 12-week intensive programme, hosted by Berklee Abu Dhabi—the Middle East’s first outpost of the prestigious Berklee College of Music—is designed to develop the region’s next generation of independent musicians.
Musicians, including singer-songwriters, bands, instrumentalists, producers, and DJs, are encouraged to apply by submitting demos of their original compositions and live video performances. The programme welcomes all music genres, from pop, rock, and R&B to jazz, Arabic traditional, and electronic music.
Selected participants will receive comprehensive training in songwriting, music production, marketing, and the music business, equipping them with the skills to thrive in the industry. At the programme’s conclusion, students will create, record, and produce their own music, with the potential to launch successful careers in the region and beyond.
The PEARL programme also offers mentorship from award-winning musicians and industry experts, including music producer Miklos Malek, pianist and songwriter Roger Rayan, Berklee Abu Dhabi director Gael Hedding, and singer-songwriter Mayssa Karaa, among others.
Applications for the PEARL Programme close on August 18th, with the programme commencing on September 9th. For detailed information on fees, dates, eligibility, and the application process, visit berkleeabudhabi.ae.
This initiative underscores DCT Abu Dhabi and Berklee Abu Dhabi’s commitment to fostering artistic talent and positioning Abu Dhabi as a hub for musical and cultural exchange in the Middle East.
