Beyond the Sunset Series Returns to Hudayriyat Island.
The highly anticipated Beyond the Sunset series is making a triumphant return to Hudayriyat Island after its successful debut. This year’s edition promises even more thrilling sports events to ignite a passion for fitness and competition among Abu Dhabi’s residents and visitors.
Event Schedule and Details
The series will run every Saturday from 18th May to 8th June, promoting a healthy and active lifestyle in the open air. It aims to unite athletes of all levels in their shared love for sports, encouraging the community to stay active year-round and redefining off-season training.
Last year’s highlights:
- RIDE Beyond the Sunset and RUN Beyond the Sunset events saw 682 participants from 46 nationalities.
This Year’s Exciting Lineup
This year, the series features four diverse sports events: running, swimming, skating, and cycling. Set against the stunning backdrop of the setting sun, these events will offer unforgettable experiences for athletes and spectators alike.
RUN Beyond the Sunset
- Location: Marsana, Hudayriyat Island
- Date: 18th May, Saturday
- Timings: 6 – 9pm
- Age Limit: None (children are welcome)
- Races: 5 km, 3 km
- Prizes: AED 100-500 (5 km only)
- Entry Fee: AED 50-65
- Registration: Run Registration
SWIM Beyond the Sunset
- Location: Marsana, Hudayriyat Island
- Date: 25th May, Saturday
- Timings: 3:30-7pm
- Age Limit: None (children are welcome)
- Races: 1600 m, 800 m, 400 m, 200 m, 100 m (kids’ fun swim)
- Prizes: AED 100-500 (1600 m and 800 m only)
- Entry Fee: AED 40-60
- Registration: Swim Registration
SKATE Beyond the Sunset
- Location: Cycling Track, Hudayriyat Island
- Date: 01st June, Saturday
- Timings: 5 – 9 pm
- Age Limit: None (children are welcome)
- Races: 10 km, 5 km, 3 km
- Prizes: AED 100 – 500 (10 km and 5 km only)
- Entry Fee: AED 40 – 65
- Registration: Skate Registration
RIDE Beyond the Sunset
- Location: Cycling Track, Hudayriyat Island
- Date: 08th June, Saturday
- Timings: 5 – 8:30 pm
- Age Limit: None (children are welcome)
- Races: Men 40.5 km, Women 27 km, Juniors 20 km, Juniors 10 km
- Prizes: AED 200 – 500 (Men’s 40.5 km and Women’s 27 km only)
- Entry Fee: AED 50 – 65
- Registration: Ride Registration
Rewards and Recognition
In addition to podium medals, winners of selected events will receive gift vouchers and cash prizes from a total prize pool of AED 60,000. All participants will take home event T-shirts and participation medals.
