Dar Al Shifaa Hospital is located in Khalifa City and took just 15 days to open.
Reem Hospital, a portfolio company of Investcorp, in collaboration with the Department of Health and SEHA, has commissioned Dar Al Shifaa Hospital in Khalifa City A to make 80 beds available to support the UAE government in its response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The facility took just two weeks to open.
The hospital will provide quarantine to those suffering mild symptoms of COVID-19 and supports the UAE government’s initiative in helping to flatten the curve.
Speaking about the new facility, Zaid Al-Siksek, chairman of Reem Hospital, said: “We’re honoured to support the UAE’s leadership during this challenging time.
Our management, employees and suppliers have worked around the clock over the past two weeks to allow Dar Al Shifaa Hospital to be operational and provide additional supply of beds, supporting existing healthcare infrastructure.
We are proud to be collaborating with SEHA, providing support and expertise as we come together in the nation’s fight against COVID-19.”

The UAE has been doing all that it can in the fight against the pandemic sweeping the world, including here in Abu Dhabi, with precautionary measures firmly in place to protect residents.
This new hospital is a positive move in fighting this pandemic.
