Filmmakers Denis Villeneuve and Tanya Lapointe, alongside stars Josh Brolin and Dave Bautista, were recently spotted amidst the breathtaking dunes of the Abu Dhabi desert. This visit comes ahead of the highly-anticipated Middle East release of Dune: Part Two.

Scheduled to hit cinemas in the UAE and Lebanon on 29th February, 2024, and in other regional markets on 11th April, the epic sequel promises an exhilarating continuation of the Dune saga. To ensure fans across the Middle East have the opportunity to experience the saga simultaneously with the rest of the world, an exclusive week of previews is set to take place from 29th February to March 6th, 2024.

Directed by Denis Villeneuve, Dune: Part Two is an adaptation of Frank Herbert’s 1965 novel, picking up where its predecessor left off. The star-studded cast includes Timothée Chalamet, Zendaya, Rebecca Ferguson, and more.

Filmed against the stunning backdrop of Abu Dhabi’s Liwa desert, the movie showcases the iconic landscape of the desert planet Arrakis. With scenes captured across nearly 20 locations in the Liwa desert during a 27-day shoot, the film boasts a team of 300 local and 250 international crew members, alongside 500 extras.
