Emirati Women's Day celebrations at Umm Al Emarat Park

Umm Al Emarat Park Commemorates Emirati Women’s Day with a Focus on Empowerment.

Umm Al Emarat Park is proudly celebrating Emirati Women’s Day on 28th August, highlighting the incredible contributions of Emirati women to the nation. This special day underscores the Park’s ongoing commitment to supporting and empowering women, their families, and the broader community.

Emirati Women’s Day, observed annually, honors the vital role that women play in shaping the UAE’s future. This celebration is deeply inspired by the enduring legacy of H.H. Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, known as the Mother of the Nation.

Named in honor of Sheikha Fatima, Umm Al Emarat Park reflects her unwavering dedication to the empowerment and advancement of women across the UAE. As the Chairwoman of the General Women’s Union (GWU), Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation (FDF), and President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, Sheikha Fatima’s visionary leadership continues to inspire generations of Emirati women to excel and make meaningful contributions to their communities.

Umm Al Emarat Park also embodies the vision of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan by preserving the UAE’s cultural and natural heritage. The Park’s commitment to gender equality is evident in its workforce, with women making up 54% of the staff, holding diverse roles from office positions to ticketing and duty management.

Among these inspiring women is Rasha Kablawi, Director of Corporate Communication for Sinyar Holding and spokesperson for Umm Al Emarat Park, who expressed, “Emirati Women’s Day is a significant occasion for us to celebrate the remarkable achievements of women in our nation.”
