Al Hosn App Gets Major Update
The UAE health authorities have introduced an updated version of the Al Hosn App. It is designed to include vital features aimed at promoting the health of children. Previously used for accessing public spaces in Abu Dhabi, the upgraded app now boasts comprehensive vaccination records for children aged from birth to 18 years.
This update aligns with the objectives of the National Immunization Programme, reinforcing the importance of vaccinations in safeguarding children’s health and building community immunity.
Dr. Hussain Al Rand, Assistant Under-Secretary for Public Health at the Ministry of Health and Prevention, highlighted the UAE government’s commitment to utilizing smart technologies for effective communication with the community to ensure optimal health coverage and maintain high vaccination rates.
Originally introduced during the pandemic to curb the spread of COVID-19, the app serves as a digital healthcare platform, storing vaccination statuses and PCR test records for users.
