Etihad Airways passengers will have to wear wristbands for 14 days upon arrival in Abu Dhabi.
This new measure initiated by Etihad Airways for passengers to wear tracking wristbands will need to be followed by other airlines too.
The rules and regulations for passengers landing in the UAE and in particular Abu Dhabi have undergone constant change. One new measure has been that all passengers who land at the Abu Dhabi International Airport are required to self-isolate for 14 days. Now, the authorities have also announced that a medically approved wristband too needs be worn for 14 days.
Entry to UAE is still restricted to country nationals and residents. While passengers travelling to Abu Dhabi are no longer required to apply for an ICA permit, they still need to have a negative PCR test for Covid-19. Passengers travelling to Dubai still need to apply for an approved travel permit and a negative PCR test.
The wristbands will be provided to all passengers landing in Abu Dhabi by the immigration authorities to track their health conditions.
