You can listen to the fascinating ‘We Are Not Alone’ by Soundwalk Collective Sci-Fi audio experience as it guides you to hidden parts of the museum.

There are contemporary outdoor artworks to contemplate and stunning places to hang out in the museum city–very insta-worthy. As part of their new exhibition Abstraction and Calligraphy – Towards a Universal Language, Emirati artist and calligrapher Mohamed Mandi has given an inspiring talk all about calligraphy at Louvre Abu Dhabi.

In the talk, Mohamed traced calligraphy’s long and fascinating history and touched on its meditative and spiritual significance. He also demonstrated his calligraphic skills and shared insights from his celebrated career. Click here to watch the Artist Talk.

  • Young Visitor’s Guide Abstraction and Calligraphy – Towards a Universal Language

Young Children Calligraphy

The Abstraction and Calligraphy interactive digital learning resource offers onsite engagement by guiding their young visitors and their family through the exhibition space and its artworks.

An animated character named “Qalam” will help young visitors explore the designated children’s trail and engage them with selected artworks and artists. These interactions will inspire them to express themselves creatively as well as learn about the history of Pictograms, Alphabet and Abstraction.
