A new fish market has opened in Abu Dhabi’s historic port area at Mina Zayed
The new fish market in Mina Zayed is located next to the original one. There are 104 fresh fish stalls, eight dry fish stalls, four fruit and vegetable stalls and three commercial kiosks.
It features eight restaurants and 44 fish cleaning stations and commercial spaces in addition to a supermarket.
Mina Zayed fish market has long been a staple of Abu Dhabi life where the locals show up in shoals in search for the
perfect fish in the sea, continuing the legacy of over 40 years. A unique shopping experience awaits all visitors at the largest cultural hub in Abu Dhabi.
DMT considers preserving cultural elements to be an integral part of the emirate’s urban development strategy to achieve sustainable development.
The new Abu Dhabi fish market is said to open from 7 am to 9 pm, every Monday to Friday and 7 am to 10 pm on Saturday and Sunday.
The massive cultural landmark has always been in history since the 1970s due to its cultural remarks and astounding architecture that it has to offer.
Once complete, the area will feature a new plant souk, fruit and vegetable market, meat market, carpet souk, date souk and a wholesale souk.
