Free parking for motorists in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain from Monday until three weeks.

Motorist in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain will be exempted to pay Mawaqif parking fees from Monday onwards as per the “ Department of Municipalities and Transport “.

The emirate’s transport sector regulator announced the decision on it social media platforms today.

The suspension of the Mawaqif parking fees is for three weeks from Monday and is subject to revision and extension, the DMT notice said.

Motorists in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain currently pay AED 2 an hour for standard parking and AED 3 an hour for premium parking slots.

The decision to suspend the Mawaqif parking fees are among a range of other initiatives implemented to ease the economic burden on residents amid the coronavirus pandemic.
