Indian culture and artistry will be in full display in the capital to mark India’s 72nd Independence Day commemorated on 15th August.
Jai Ho is a three-day spectacle from 22nd to 24th August at Abu Dhabi National Theatre that will feature Bollywood singer Sunidhi Chauhan, stand-up comedians Biswa Kalyan Rath and Amit Tandon, and ghazal artist Padma Shri Hariharan.
Celebrated comics Biswa and Amit will raise the curtain on 22nd August with jokes and wisecracks about everyday life and situations – all told with funny anecdotes to keep the crowd rolling with laughter.
The following evening, 23rd August, will see award-winning singer Sunidhi Chauhan serenading the audience with an electrifying performance.
Dubbed as the Queen of Bollywood music, expect an evening of memorable tunes like ‘Sajna Ji Vaari Vaari’ (‘Honeymoon Travels’), ‘Desi Girl’ (‘Dostana’), ‘Halka Halka’ (‘Fanney Khan’), ‘Bidi’ (‘Omkara’), ‘Sheila Ki Jawani’,and many more.
Closing the event on 24th August is versatile playback singer Hariharan – established ghazal singer and one of the pioneers of Indian fusion music.
Even more impressive is his vast repertoire of songs in various languages including Tamil, Hindi, Malayalam, Telegu and Kannada.
