David Guetta to have pre-recorded performance at Louvre Abu Dhabi

The Louvre Abu Dhabi
New Year’s Eve to be set on fire

David Guetta will set the New Year’s Eve night on fire at Louvre Abu Dhabi. With a pre-recorded performance on New Year’s Eve, the global music icon is set to woo visitors at Louvre Abu Dhabi. Following his success at United at Home show at Musee du Louvre in Paris on New Year’s Eve 2020, this performance will be massive.

Fans across the globe will be able to watch the show online at midnight on 31st December Gulf Standard Time from the comfort of their home. A floating stage has been purposefully built in the waters surrounding the museum. This is along with Louvre Abu Dhabi’s striking architecture acting as a backdrop to the virtual concert.

The performance combines music with a world-class light show and includes projections of masterpieces from Louvre Abu Dhabi’s collections. “This event is the latest in Abu Dhabi’s drive to bring world-class entertainment and culture to our city. With a vision to become an international hub for arts, culture and creativity.”

The show will feature visualizations of some of Louvre Abu Dhabi’s masterpieces, including Piet Mondrian’s Composition with Blue, Red, Yellow and Black (1922), Auguste Rodin’s The Walking Man, On a Column (1900), Georges de la Tour’s Girl Blowing on a Brazier (circa 1646 – 1648 CE) and Astrolabe Quadrant (circa 1291 – 1310).

In addition there will be 500 light fixtures, 20 metre high flames that shoot into the night sky in synchronicity with David Guetta’s set.
