Witness the history of the royal court at Versailles
Don’t miss the new exhibition ‘ Versailles and the world’ at Louvre Abu Dhabi. The exhibition opens tomorrow 26th January and runs until 04th June, 2022.
The exhibition is organized in partnership with Musée national des châteaux de Versailles et de Trianon. With the support of France Muséums, the exhibition will showcase the history of the royal court at Versailles.
More than 100 artworks from the collection of UK’s Royal Collection Trust, Louvre Abu Dhabi and 17 French lenders will be displayed. This includes the Musée National des Châteaux de Versailles et de Trianon.
A wide range of cultural activities and performances is also planned.
The exhibition will also explore how the Palace of Versailles became a crucible for intellectual encounter.
A cultural exchange between the French monarchy, the court, and foreign ambassadors and diplomatic missions during the reign of three French monarchs: Louis XIV, Louis XV and Louis XVI.
Entrance to the exhibition is included in the museum’s admission ticket.
