The Louvre Abu Dhabi Has Finally Opened Its Doors

Since 24^th June, this world famous museum has been allowing people to view the exhibitions once again.

The famed architectural wonder by Jean Nouvel has been a crowd favourite not simply for its aesthetic but also for the sense of calmness and serenity the museum offers its visitors. And now you can experience it once again.

The museum team has been working to enforce all the safety measures in line with government mandate. The venue will only be open between 10 am – 6.30 pm and closed Mondays. All visitors over the age of 18 will need to purchase tickets online and select the preferred time slots so that the museum can control the visitor capacity and ensure that social distancing is being followed.

Masks and gloves are distributed to all the visitors and all payment methods are now through credit cards and apps.

No doubt, the experience is going to feel a little different, but won’t take away from the culture and art found in the museum.

Manuel Rabaté, director of Louvre Abu Dhabi, said: “We look forward to giving our museum back to the community and resuming our physical role as a space for sharing our many stories of cultural connections.

“As we prepare to reopen, we are furthering our commitment to being a mindful museum – a concept that has always been a part of our DNA and is now more urgent than ever before.

“This approach extends throughout our programming, collection, and the museum building itself as a meditative and contemplative space for the community to come together and find solace through culture, while feeling comfortable and safe.”
