Tonight: Live Streamed Into The Mind Of An Hollywood Producer

The CulturAll Conversations are a series of conversations organized by the Department of Culture and Tourism around the film industry.

The DCT Abu Dhabi have been conducting regular panel discussions with stalwarts from the film industry to unpack the process of film making and the production process that happen behind the scenes. These conversations are themes around highlighting key strategies and techniques that aspiring film makers and industry enthusiasts can opt and adapt for their own personal development to consequently bolster UAE’s nascent but thriving film industry.

On 16th September, Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi Chairman HE Mohamed Al Mubarak will be talking to the renowned Emmy Award-wining Hollywood producer Jason Blum at 9 pm (UAE). The talk will be streamed live on their YouTube channel.  Jason Blum with over 75 films and TV series under his name is the founder and CEO of  Blumhouse Productions, a multi-media production company that has shelled out some major blockbusters like the Paranormal Activity, The Purge, Insidious, and Sinister franchises. Jason has worked with a myriad of media agencies and individuals to be able to offer a holistic understanding of what life in the film industry would encompass of which is exactly what his talk will be based on.  In addition, to offering a glimpse into his career and tribulations that he faced, he will talk about the horror genre and what constitutes its international appeal and the different ways Covid-19 has impacted the industry.
