With the aim to impart cultural value and knowledge, Qasr Al Watan is inviting guests to discover their love for literature. The Palace of the Nation holds high the torch of knowledge and culture. It is located at the Abu Dhabi Arabic Language Centre – Department of Culture and Tourism’s ( DCT ) Library exhibition.
The exhibition brings together a collection of manuscripts written by European scholars dating back to the 13th and 19th hundreds. It showcases insights into Arabic culture, music, medicine and literature.
Guests will be astounded with a wide variety of books available to them. Each book holds a different linguistic and cultural background, right as they enter.
A special section of the exhibition is curated for displaying the books that were granted the Sheikh Zayed Book Award from 2006 till 2022. Its an award which has a strong impact on the International literature and knowledge community.
To conclude the stroll in the exhibition, the guests can head to the Palace’s Library. You can access a collection of more than 50,000 books. Pick a book and head to the reading room with views of the Palace’s fountain.
Qasr Al Watan invites guests of all ages from Sunday to Saturday 11.00 am to 20.00 pm.
The library is open from Monday to Friday 11.00 am to 18.00 pm. Saturday’s 12.00 pm to 18.00 pm.
