SeaWorld Yas Island, Abu Dhabi, the World’s Largest Indoor Marine Life Theme Park, is celebrating Shark Week until July 13th with a series of educational activities and experiences focused on these apex predators.

The event aims to raise awareness about shark conservation and dispel common misconceptions about these important marine animals.

As part of the celebration, SeaWorld Abu Dhabi is serving as the main sponsor for Warner Bros. Discovery’s Shark Week, a television series dedicated to shark conservation efforts and education. This partnership underscores the park’s commitment to marine life preservation and public education.

A key feature of the celebration is the Shark Week Passport, an interactive guide that leads guests through five educational stations throughout the park. These stations offer a mix of entertainment and learning, providing fascinating facts about sharks. Visitors must complete activities at each station to earn stamps in their passports, encouraging exploration of the entire marine life theme park.

In addition to the passport activities, SeaWorld Abu Dhabi is showcasing a 60-foot-long inflatable whale shark at the One Ocean realm daily from 1:30 PM to 6:00 PM. This impressive display serves as a focal point for discussions about the largest fish species in the world.

The park is also offering shark-themed merchandise at its Endless Ocean and Abu Dhabi Ocean retail stores, allowing visitors to take home souvenirs of their Shark Week experience. Shark-themed treats will be available at Endless Ocean’s dining outlets, adding a culinary dimension to the celebration.

Throughout Shark Week, SeaWorld Abu Dhabi will be sharing daily facts about sharks on its social media platforms (@seaworldabudhabi), highlighting the crucial role these animals play in maintaining marine ecosystems. The park aims to educate the public about the importance of shark conservation and ways individuals can contribute to protecting these vital species.

As SeaWorld Abu Dhabi continues to establish itself as a leader in marine education and conservation in the region, events like Shark Week play a crucial role in engaging the public and fostering a deeper understanding of marine life. The combination of entertainment and education offers visitors a unique opportunity to learn about sharks in an immersive and exciting environment.
