SeaWorld® Yas Island, Abu Dhabi unveils ‘Draw Me the Sea’ art exhibition.

SeaWorld® Yas Island, Abu Dhabi proudly introduces its first-ever Children’s Art Exhibition through the ‘Draw Me the Sea’ initiative. A social program aimed at expanding children’s knowledge of marine life. As the world’s largest indoor marine life theme park, SeaWorld® Yas Island, Abu Dhabi partnered with Aldar Education, inviting children aged 7-12 to explore the park’s eight immersive realms and express their oceanic discoveries through art.

Before their visit to SeaWorld® Yas Island, Abu Dhabi, students were tasked with drawing the sea based on their own perceptions, often including surface-level elements like waves, sandy beaches, and palm trees. Following their visit, where they encountered dolphins, sea turtles, walruses, and penguins, the children’s artistic interpretations evolved. They now depicted vibrant marine scenes, showcasing dolphins jumping, rays gliding, schools of fish surrounding sharks, and starfish nestled at the ocean floor.

The educational journey was enriched by SeaWorld Abu Dhabi’s team of over 45 educators stationed throughout the park, who shared insights about the marine species the children encountered. This initiative highlighted the powerful role SeaWorld® Yas Island, Abu Dhabi plays in fostering cognitive development and deepening children’s understanding of the marine world.

To further understand the educational impact, Dr. Rama Kanj, a licensed Educational Psychologist, collaborated with SeaWorld® Yas Island, Abu Dhabi to study how these experiences shaped the children’s developmental progress. From 19th September until the end of October, guests can visit SeaWorld® Yas Island, Abu Dhabi’s One Ocean realm to view this remarkable collection of children’s drawings, showcasing the transformation in their perception of marine life.
