Most of the capital is closed but discussions are underway so we can go shopping again… under strict precautions.
We’re all stuck at home and are going out just occasionally to grab the necessities. This could soon change as talks are in place to open up malls again in the capital.
The Department of Economic Development has said that it is now in consultations with stakeholders discussing the possibility of reopening malls in Abu Dhabi.
If a decision to open the malls were to be agreed upon move, it would provide a gradual increase in economic activity. However, the move would be subject to guidelines and measures to ensure public safety.
Let’s hope we’re back shopping very soon.
