Whether you’re a fan of reggae music or not, the annual Bob Marley Birthday Festival on 8th February at Yas Beach on Yas Island will get you bopping from 4pm to 3am.

Keeping the flame alive is Marley’s back-up band now renamed as The Original Wailers. The group will play a two-hour set consisting of the reggae legend’s memorable hits such as ‘No Woman No Cry’, ‘Could You Be Loved’, ‘Get Up Stand Up’, and many more.

Speaking of music icons, the latest instalment of Design & Dine will see budding and seasoned artists create their own masterpiece with legendary music acts as subjects.

The Music Icons Mexican Brunch on 8th February from 4pm to 8pm will see participants learn how to create great art while simultaneously enjoying tasty dishes and with refreshing drinks courtesy of Amerigos in Park Inn by Radisson Abu Dhabi Yas Island.

Looking for some organic produce? The Ripe Market happening every Saturday from 3pm to 9pm at Umm Al Emarat Park is selling fruits and vegetables sourced from local farmers.

But more than that, this weekly community event plays host to various UAE-based sellers and entrepreneurs selling products ranging from clothes, accessories, food items, home wares, collectibles, among others. There’s also live entertainment and cooking stations for friends and families to enjoy.

Curious minds can still visit the Abu Dhabi Science Festival in A’l Bahar on the Corniche.
