  • Stay calm

When you are faced with new challenges, it can be quite scary. Keep your breathing in check throughout your time on board, relax your muscles, and clear your mind. Last but not least, don’t hesitate to ask for a break once you feel one is needed.

  • Take it one step at a time

Before riding the waves like a pro, one must first learn the basics of surfing while familiarizing themselves with their board. Bodyboard on the Rush Rider sheet wave, a smaller version of Bubble’s Barrel, which is the world’s largest surfing sheet wave. If you’re working with a trainer, you’ll lie on your belly holding on to the board with your hands and elbows.

Eventually you will get a hang of navigating up, down, left and right with ease. The next step would then be to learn how to slowly get on your knees with ease and once you have that on lock. You will then learn how to fully stand up on the board.

You will soon be ready to crush the waves on Bubble’s Barrel and enjoy a three-meter-high wave of roaring water at speeds of up to 70 kilometres per hour.

  • Safety comes first

The first thing you should do if you fall off your surfboard is cover your head. You will have a safe and enjoyable experience at Flow Club.
