The latest exhibition at Louvre Abu Dhabi is now open to public

Displaying more than 150 artworks and a rich cultural programme

As part of its fifth anniversary, Louvre Abu Dhabi has announced its latest exhibition. Inaugurated by H.E. Mohamed Khalifa Al Mubarak, Chairman of the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi, its the museum’s first international exhibition of the season.

Impressions: Pathways to Modernity is open to public until the 05th February 2023. It is the most comprehensive Impressionist showcase ever held in the region. It is also one of the three major exhibitions to be held as part of the museum’s 2022-2023 cultural season.

The exhibition is organized in partnership with Musée d’Orsay and France Muséums displaying more than 150 artworks. It highlights artists’ reactions to social and economic upheavals from the mid-1850s to the end of the 19th century.

A rich cultural programme will be available to the public, including a curatorial talk on Impressionism. Film screenings under the iconic Louvre Abu Dhabi dome, and a contemporary dance performance and masterclass by Sima Dance, inspired by the exhibition.

A range of educational activities will be available for adults, schools, families and youth, including an Express Tour of the exhibition. An oil painting masterclass led by Emirati artist Saggaf AlHashmi.

Make and Play activities for children where they learn painting techniques inspired by nature and outdoor.
