A new hub for bright minds with great ideas has opened its doors in Masdar City.
The aptly named Tech Park will serve as base for innovative companies specialising in sustainability, technology and the digital economy.
Firms funded and mentored by the Catalyst, the Middle East’s pioneering start-up accelerator focusing on clean technology and sustainability, are some of the hub’s early occupants.
The Catalyst looks to attract 30 more start-ups to Tech Park by 2021 in line with its programme to nurture at least 12 new local and international business enterprises per year.
Not lacking in cool factor, Tech Park utilises recycled shipping containers converted into offices.
It was also announced that the centre will hosts the UAE Clean Tech Challenge happening in November this year.
Tech Park is of course just the latest addition to theb growing number of organisations that support start-ups both here and abroad.
