A human chain consisting of 1,817 individuals has set a new Guinness World Record for the world’s longest handshake.
The event titled ‘One World, One Message‘ was held yesterday, 29th January, at Umm Al Emarat Park, and symbolizes tolerance, unity and co-existence.
The Abu Dhabi Police Youth Council organised the event to mark the signing of the Fraternity Document during the historic visit of Pope Francis and the Grand Imam of Al Zahar.
The Minister of Tolerance Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan witnessed the record-setting feat of the world’s longest handshake and applauded the participants that included students, Emirati and expat families, and people from the private and public sectors.
