We may be months away from UAE National Day but plans are already in place for a big spectacle to mark the occasion.
A theatrical performance titled “Legacy of our Ancestors” will showcase stories from the UAE’s rich past, highlighting values embedded in local heritage and culture.
Hosting the event on 2nd December is Zayed Sport City Stadium.
The performance is inspired by local folklore of the same title.
Spectators can expect to be taken to a journey exploring the country’s history set in dazzling narrative performances, striking digital art and impressive visual and sound effects.
“The epic scale of this production, coupled with the rich tapestry of values derived from our most precious of stories, will ensure Legacy of Our Ancestors reaches a theatrical level never experienced before in the UAE,” said Saeed Al Suwaidi, representative of the show’s organising team.
“The show will create a sense of pride, which will live for many years to come and serve as a fitting masterpiece for the official 48th UAE National Day Celebration.”
He continued: “With more than 200 nationalities proudly calling the UAE home, our National Day remains a much-loved calendar date for Emiratis and expatriates alike.
“As Abu Dhabi continues to attract a growing number of regional and international visitors, we hope Legacy of Our Ancestors will shine a greater light on the stories of our past that continue to shape our future.”
