As planned, the new Airbus A321neo aircraft has made way into the Abu Dhabi International Airport ready to traverse the skies. This carrier said to have the lowest environmental footprint while offering affordable and some of the lowest fares for travellers in the region. The aircraft has been designed in a way to reduce its fuel consumption, omission of nitrogen oxide and the noise it creates to make it ecologically friendly.

More aeroplanes are expected to join the fleet on ground at Abu Dhabi soon with a more specific route map of all the cities they will be flying to. For now, cities like Alexandria, Athens, Kutaisi, Larnaca, Odesa and Yerevan have been announced to be the initial destination points. Kees Van Schaick, Managing Director of Wizz Air Abu Dhabi said: “Today is another great landmark to celebrate. With the arrival of our first aircraft to Abu Dhabi we have made an important step on our journey towards starting our operations and developing our presence in Abu Dhabi. We contribute to the local economic diversity while offering ever more affordable travel opportunities on our low fare network. Wizz Air Abu Dhabi’s new state-of-the-art Airbus A321neo aircraft, as well as our enhanced protective measures, will ensure the best possible sanitary conditions for travellers.”

These new launches only point to the effective health and safety measures that the Abu Dhabi authorities have maintained in the airports that include but are not limited to strict social distancing, thermal scanners, supply of hand sanitisers, masks, gloves and PPE kit and touch-less elevator technology to safeguard the people. The airports also have Wellness Ambassadors in an effort to help passengers with any concerns and ensure a seamless travel experience.

So, tell us, are you intrigued to embark on an aeroplane that is responsible to the environment?
